Earlier this month, Garmin announced major updates to its various smartwatch series, including the Fenix 7. Subsequently, the company released similar updates for the Fenix 6 series, although it has fewer new features than those found on the new smartwatches. The Venu 2 series missed out on Garmin’s June 2023 feature update, with the company expecting 13.xx builds instead.
Garmin has now announced the release of beta version 14.07 for Venu 2 and Venu 2S. In the transition from version numbers 13.14 to 14.07 in one beta release cycle, Garmin made several changes. However, in the forum post, a single and rather changeable, ‘various bug fixes and improvements have been included’.
Perhaps surprisingly, the lack of information prompted one beta program participant to ask Garmin moderators for ‘basic information about beta releases’. Please note that beta version 14.07 is only available as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Therefore, you cannot download using Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) or Garmin Express. Still, you can go to Settings, System, and then Software Update to manually download the latest beta build for the Venu 2 and Venu 2S.
