Asset management giant Blackrock has appointed two executives in Asia to focus on the region’s wealth management sector.

Blackrock means Mandy Louis as head of the wealth of Greater China and Dennis Quah as Singapore’s wealth leader, it said in a statement.

Lui will begin his role in Hong Kong in mid-August and will focus on developing deeper strategic relationships with key distributors in Hong Kong, Taiwan and offshore China. He was most recently at Baring Asset Management as Head of Wealth/Retail Distribution for Greater China and Southeast Asia. He also previously worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management, Schroders and Russell Investments.

Quah joins the firm today in Singapore and will focus on building partnerships with consumer banks, private banks and insurers, as well as bringing together Blackrock professionals to build wealth portfolios. He has two decades of asset management experience in Asia, having previously worked at Columbia Threadneedle, Amundi, OCBC Bank and Schroders.
