And while their careers are in the balance, today they seem determined to keep up the good looks.
They have shown no sign of taking their foot off the gas when it comes to not giving an inch to guardians, which has plunged them into scandal and crisis of certainty.
Earlier, the couple looked very young as they left Holmes’ apartment in the Financial District and headed to The Capital Grille.
Amy Robach and TJ Holmes were spotted out together again in New York on Thursday for the first time since being banned from GMA3 over their secret affair.
Undaunted by the prospect of being seen, the two lovers went to lunch in Manhattan’s financial district before returning to Holmes’ apartment nearby.
The pair taunted and taunted him as they returned to the Holmes mansion, enjoying wine and conversation.
After not being seen together for over two weeks, the co-stars stepped out today and showed the world that they just can’t stay away from each other.
Whether flirting in downtown bars or holding hands in the back of a taxi, their former partners walked side by side but remained untouched.
But it was different when they left the restaurant smiling and clinging to each other.

Robach arrived at the Holmes residence around noon, sneaking in through the back door and trying to stay under the radar.
But any notion of being low-key was dispelled moments later when they popped through the front door and walked the short distance to the restaurant.
Robach ordered a salad and white wine while Holmes tucked into a steak – apparently the commotion of the past few days had done nothing to dampen his appetite.
They eat and chat in silence and are clearly not worried about who might see them now that their secret is out.
Amy and TJ grabbed lunch at the Capital Grille, seemingly unconcerned by the sight of other diners opting to sit at the restaurant’s bar.
Amy, who looked casual in a hoodie, enjoyed a glass of white wine salad while TJ tucked into a steak that matched his girlfriend’s look.
There were no PDAs as they sat side by side at the counter, exchanging glances and confidences but not touching.
While the lovers may not be as flirty and flirtatious as they were in their previous relationship, the ousted lovers seem at ease with each other amid all the chaos.
After lunch, Amy is seen sneaking out of the restaurant as TJ follows her lead before heading to the apartment.

The couple continued their journey home, walking arm in arm, looking angry and frustrated at times.
Back at TJ’s apartment building, Amy is seen arriving alone at noon today.
Robach previously spent some time in her former West Village apartment, which she once shared with her husband Andrew Shue, 55, and recently sold.
Accompanied by one of her daughters, she removed some possessions before the two parted ways and headed off alone to find Holmes.
After lunch, they returned to Holmes’ apartment, probably full of wine and conversation.
Arm in arm, they walked through the rain, perhaps aware of the looks they were now drawing from passers-by, as they only had eyes for each other.
So far, Robach and Holmes have only been seen separately in public since they were suspended from GM3 a week after their affair came to light.
Sources told DailyMail.com that while the two have accepted their spouse’s fate, they don’t want to ‘jeopardize their future with the network any more than they already have.’

Their next step was to ‘openly date’ and say they would ‘grow their relationship’.
And the truth is that when Holmes was first approached for comment by DailyMail.com, his knee-jerk response was a career-saving attempt to ‘boldly deny’ the relationship.
ABC News president Kim Godwin began this week by issuing a memo to all employees in an effort to quell speculation and rumors surrounding what he described as an affair involving ‘GMA3 anchors TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.’
She wrote: ‘I understand that continued coverage may distract from the very important work our team does here at ABC News.’
‘She informed her staff that Amy and TJ will be off the air until an internal review is completed and that there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being.’
And while Godwin seemed at pains to present a ‘business as usual’ image, Holmes and Robach both went to great lengths to save their own jobs, insiders say.
