Ethan Hawke is officially directing a movie in the Louisville area, and you can be an extra.

We now officially know he’s directing a movie in the region, and you have a chance to attend. According to Angela Boehm’s casting, the film is being called “Wildcat,” at least for now. Producer Cary O’Reilly says the film is about the life of famous writer Flannery O’Connor.The film will be shot in and around Louisville in January and February. The casting company has been posting calls for extras and actors for the past several days. Find them here. They are looking for all kinds of roles like a pianist, a bickering couple, etc. and they are all paid gigs. They are also looking for some kind of cars to use in the movie. From the 40s and 50s. “Wildcat” isn’t listed on IMDB yet and it’s unclear who starred in it, although we do know Maya Hawke, daughter of Hawke fame, of “Stranger Things” was seen in Louisville, possibly visiting, but maybe working? We can’t say for sure yet.
