Mariah Carey blasted by fans for ‘obvious lip syncing’ during Thanksgiving parade.

Mariah Carey made her return to the 96th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday after a seven-year hiatus — but fans quickly called her out for lip-syncing.

The 52-year-old singer, who has dubbed herself the ‘Queen of Christmas’, performed All I Want for Christmas to a crowd in Manhattan, wearing a red dress and sparkling tiara.

Mariah gave a festive performance in New York and across the U.S. surrounded by dancers and her twins, Morocco and Monroe, 11.

However, the star, who has previously landed herself in hot water for dodgy miming, was again accused of ‘obvious lip-synching’ when fans noticed her flawless voice was very similar to the recorded version of the 1994 track.

One fan wrote: ‘Mariah Carey always sends me away because her lip sync is so obvious. Like you don’t even try to hide it.’

The star’s performance featured a cameo appearance of her twins dancing behind her in Christmas boxes.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am grateful and proud of my beautiful children Rock and Ro, I am grateful for Lambilli and the precious moments in life. NOW IS THE TIME!!!’

Her beau Bryan Tanaka commented: ‘Best performance of the year!!!’

With all eyes on the parade, viewers may have noticed the absence of Today Show’s Al Roker, who missed the show 27 years after being hospitalized for a blood clot.

Among those wishing the rocker a speedy recovery were President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, who called into the show to thank first responders and the military.

In a tweet on Thursday morning, the rocker revealed that he would be released to have dinner with his family as more than 20 million viewers watched the parade from the hospital.

Despite the rocker’s absence, Broadway singer Lea Michele kicked off the festival with a rendition of ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’ from the Broadway show ‘Funny Girl’, and the show went on without a celebrity host.

Following other Broadway shows where the 60-year-old showed she can still wow audiences, audiences tuned in to Abdul’s energetic performance.

Along with the famous balloons, the parade features 28 floats, 12 marching bands, 700 clowns and several musical stars during Thanksgiving.

Organizers say the parade will begin on the city’s Upper West Side and end at the Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square.

Attendance was predicted to include 500,000 more than last year. The 2020 parade was a TV-only event due to the pandemic.
