There are many reasons why. BTS Today they are considered world-class performers, and their spectacular live performances are at the top of the list. The highlight of any BTS performance is not only their powerful melodrama and stage presence, but also the vocal composure they display effortlessly while executing complex dance moves.

Be it on their own visit,

or during an award,

or on a TV show,

The mics are on when BTS takes the stage!

As they showcased their amazing live singing skills, people were curious about how they had trained themselves to achieve this composure over the years. Fortunately for them the latest episode Susuita It contains some answers!

June 10, KST, Gene appeared on SugaYouTube show Susuita As a guest, and later, J-Hope He joined them at the table, surprising them and the audience. When talking about their experiences as members of BTS, Suga brought up the topic of live vocals, I found it amazing how the entire vocalist started out with zero experience in trainees’ live singing.

Before joining BIGIT Music, RM And Suga They were underground rappers with some experience in vocal live performance. J-Hope He started rapping only after meeting RM and Sugan and was a street dancer. Gene He was a regular student. Jimin Modern dance was the main, and V And Jungkook They were normal school students. Suga expressed his deep appreciation to all the members who quickly picked up their talents and worked tirelessly to improve themselves over the past ten years.

In response, Gene opens up about his journey to get to the level of vocal skill he has today. He revealed that he was reluctant to sing live at their first show because it was too difficult to dance and sing at the same time. But the members kept pushing and after years and years of being on stage, they all realized that they had reached that stage where they couldn’t struggle to control their breath while singing!

Suga then explained some interesting techniques they used to train their stamina and breath control. To increase their lung capacity, BTS members run for 10 to 20 seconds before singing their parts. This is a common strategy that other K-Pop singers are seen using during practice.

But the second method that Suga mentioned is very hardcore. The members wore oxygen deprivation masks before singing their parts. These special types of masks are mainly used by athletes to simulate the effects of high altitude. When you breathe, it restricts the flow of air, causing heart palpitations. As a result, training with these masks helps build endurance and strength.

Lack of oxygen, which is mostly seen in athletic training gearpetrol.com

The training paid off and Gene had a funny way of realizing it. He explained that he often goes to the resort with his friends, arguing with each other to stay in the water longer in the pool. Jin now realizes that he can breathe twice as fast as the average person!

Hard work pays off, and BTS prove themselves to be a living example of this every day!
