Have you ever caught yourself grooving to the beat of a song you’re playing? If so, you’re probably shaking too hard. Hi-Fi rush. I’ve put a few hours into Tango Gameworks’ rhythm-action game, and I’m impressed with how satisfying it can be in a game that more or less requires you to dance with your enemies while mowing through them. While it’s an accessible action game for the rhythm-challenged, coming from a musical background, it’s especially fun to lose yourself in a catchy tune.

Hi-Fi rush– What you can Play today on Xbox Game PassBy the way—Stars Chai, a cyborg rockstar wannabe who mistakenly wears a chest-mounted MP3 player that’s legally different from an old iPod. That wasn’t part of the plan, so the company that gave him the cybernetic upgrade wants to write it off as a flaw, but like Kiki D before him, Chai has the music inside him and is harming every robot sent to destroy him. Now, he wrestles with his guitar and swings, chops, jumps, and beats to the music in his chest.

As a retired musician, Hi-Fi rush It tapped into every melodic and melodic inclination I have. Where you like the same games The devil can cry. Relying on timed attacks and visual cues, I was able to get through a lot of Chai scraps while feeling the beat of whatever song Tango Gameworks was fighting the level or boss. Although you’re actively rewarded for keeping time with the music, when you land your light or heavy attacks, Chai is designed to land these changes on the beat, and so do his enemies. It’s so satisfying to feel my moves and attacks sound like a freeform improv dance in an action game, where every strike and dodge seems to add to the orchestra of movement and sound.

Some of my favorite moments Hi-Fi rush She comes when I pick up music in action, such as Chai’s gun companion, Peppermint, in triple shots when I call her shots into a fight, no matter what. The beat of the music is pulling through all the movements and animations in the game, and seeing the action game design interact with the sounds of the songs makes it fun and expressive in a way that I think will especially appeal to musicians.

Along with some interesting originals in the soundtrack, Hi-Fi rush Also a A selection of licensed tracks Chai fights, which are pretty singular in their genre. Here are some great choices; Nine Inch Nails appeared twice on “1,000,000” and “Perfect Medicine”. Black Kiss’ “Lonely Boy” is heard in the opening, but it didn’t make the gameplay until I got it, and I dig that song, so I’m hoping it shows up again later. It’s amazing and other names are featured and all the songs are good, I think I was interested in seeing more genres. But with the slap-rocker vibe of the game and the main character, maybe these are the best. Totally suitable.

While I think musicians benefit more, Hi-Fi rush It’s still very handy for players who consider themselves musically challenged. The fights are played to the beat of the music, but the player is not required to press any buttons during it. Chai’s and enemy’s animations are all spot on, but two left-footed feelers can still rely on visual cues to keep up with the fight. The game doesn’t punish you for not playing on the beat, but actively rewards you for doing so. Each fight and entire level is based on your timing, and if you want high scores, you’ll have to swing your guitar in time with the music. Thankfully, Tango Gameworks has implemented visual elements like a metronome to help. It might not be enough for everyone, but the game at least has an understanding that some people will be dancing at a wedding like your uncle and might need some extra accommodations.

I am beautiful at the beginning Hi-Fi rush, but there’s something magical about each fight that seems like it could be choreographed to sheet music. It excels in style and humor, has great music choices, and while it’s a rhythm game, it doesn’t lack the depth and skill you need to play an action game. I’m excited to see where Chai’s silly story takes me.
