However, a unique perspective on the matter came in late April from Pharrell Williams, who felt that the advancement of AI in music is part of human nature and almost impossible to stop. “Everybody wake up. While the AI’s rhymes all make sense and all contain common vocabulary and phrases in hip-hop songs, it stops there. With no personal stories, playful lyrics, or strong hooks, the lyrics are just a low-key rap song.
By no means would this be a chart-topper in today’s rap landscape, especially since this unique brand of non-descript lyrics is more geared towards the earlier eras of hip-hop. But this is just our opinion. What do you think of an AI attempt to write a rap hit?
