Blake Shelton is ready to kick off the cowboy boots.

After announcing earlier this fall that he would be leaving “The Voice” next year, the 46-year-old country superstar plans to make a big-time comeback from show biz.

“People were like, ‘Man, come on. You are not stopping the “voice”. [to do] nothing!’ But I really am,” Shelton told People. “I welcome ideas please.”

Shelton — the only coach on season 22 of “The Voice” since the NBC singing competition began in 2011 — will finally vacate the big red chair next spring.

“It’s been hard for me to let go of the years,” he said. “I’ve literally been here since the first minute.”

And the singer thanked the show for boosting his career as well as that of the contestants. “When I started on ‘The Voice,’ that was 10 years into my career as a country artist,” he said. “Until I became a coach, I did not reach the A level of the country’s artists. The show did a lot more for me than I brought to the table at the time. I have surpassed anything I ever thought I could accomplish in the entertainment world.”

Although Shelton launched a new celebrity drinking game show this week, “Barmageddon” with “The Voice” host Carson Daly on the USA Network, he’s putting his career on hold. “It’s time to push some of that. [work] Take things out and let more family and personal life come in,” he said.

Of course, that personal life includes his wife Gwen Stefani, 53, as well as her children Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 8, with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

“If I quit my job at this point, the only thing I could face is the regret of missing out on some important things in my life. They are our children for now,” he said. “It’s not about me and it won’t be anymore… I’ve got a lot of money, but you can’t buy time.

And with Stephanie and family at their home in Oklahoma, Shelton enjoys a quiet life.

“Gwen and I traveled a lot in the first half of our lives; So now I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m fine with wearing my sweatpants at 6 o’clock and watching “The Ozarks” eight times. “He said. “This is our life now, and we love it.”
