Post Malone recently spilled the secret behind his body transformation to Joe Rogan after fans began noticing the rapper’s dramatic weight loss earlier this year.
In an August 8th appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 28-year-old rapper shared the one large change he made in his lifestyle that resulted in his nearly 60-pound weight loss: cutting soda out of his diet.
‘Soda is so bad. It’s so good, but so bad,’ Post Malone, who’s birth name is Austin Richard Post, revealed to Rogan, 56.
While eliminating soda from his diet aided in his dramatic weight loss, the Grammy-nominated singer confessed that he hasn’t completely given up the sweet beverage.
‘[If] I had a great show, and you know what, I’m feeling a little bit naughty. I’m gonna have myself a Coke on ice,’ Post Malone shared.

During the interview, Post Malone also shared with the podcast host and UFC commentator exactly what he weighed before and after his dramatic weight loss. It was unclear when Post Malone opted to make changes towards his diet.
The rapper disclosed that he weighed 240 pounds before deciding to cut back on the soda. Following his diet modification, he dropped to approximately 185 pounds.
While Rogan fully supported the rapper’s choice to cut soda out of his diet, the 56-year-old also conceded that he endorses the ‘everything in moderation’ approach when it comes to weight loss and healthy eating.
‘The problem is when people [drink soda and other sugary beverages] all day everyday your body doesn’t know what to do with that sugar because it’s so unnatural… the key to those things is every now and then, you know?’ Rogan stated.
‘Every now and then you reward yourself with a Coca Cola and you’re like ‘Ah, this is nice.’ Your body never gets that sugar in the wild. You get sugar in fruit. When you have a glass of sugar water, it’s pouring right into your bloodstream. Your body is like, ‘What the f*** is this?’ the podcast host and UFC commentator added.
Rogan launched his podcast in December 2009 on YouTube, and he interviews a wide array of guests across different industries. Since September 2020, the podcast has been exclusively licensed on Spotify.
Over the years, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ has become one of the world’s most popular yet most controversial podcasts, regularly receiving millions of views per episode.
