She wants her children to grow up in a loving family, and worries about the breakup between Michael and Sonny. Christina, Avery, and Donna fear that one day they will side with Sonny and lose the chance to know their children.
Carly realizes that Willow is asking her to make peace between Michael and Sonny. At the hospital, Sonny walks in on Robert and says he dropped Anna some flowers. Robert is bringing her tea, but Sonny informs him that he has a problem with how he used Diane to break the law and talk to Victor’s man. Sonny reminds Diane that the information he got is important to everyone, so who cares how he got it? Robert does not accept his methods.
Nina arrives as Robert leaves. Soni asks what she is doing here. She wanted to talk to Terry about Willow’s alternative treatments, but there was nothing. Nina reiterates that they need to find her aunt, and guesses that Sonny is using any means to do as she asks. Sonny reveals that he arranged for Diane to impersonate Victor’s bodyguard and get information from him. Nina knows the PCPD has resources to track down Sonny Obrecht, and she wants to help him. He wants you to focus on Willow and leave it to him as this could be dangerous. Nina doesn’t want him to feel the need to protect her, and she loves and trusts him to put her and their family first. Sonny leans over and kisses her and assures her that he will do whatever it takes to bring Obrecht home.
Robert runs to Diane and says he’s getting Anna some tea but she’s too worried. He asks if she is here to meet her boss. Diane says she’s her own boss and is here to talk to the wrongly accused doctor, one of her clients. Robert apologizes but hates to see her compromise her relationship with Sonny. She asks him if he didn’t mind working for WSB all those years with Anna and Holly. Robert feels this is different, but she doesn’t see it that way just because he works for crown and country. She remembers that they prefer to work with complicated people. Diane points out that it’s been weeks since he took her out to dinner and promised to explain what happened to Holly, complicated by Aileen’s murder and now this ghost ship floating around. Robert suggests taking her out to dinner tonight, and she’s shocked that he doesn’t have plans. He apologized again. She laughs that she doesn’t have a frying pan, but in the future, a woman likes advanced advertising.
Brooke Lynn arrives before the CCRB meeting begins and finds Chase sitting alone. He asks her why she is here and she tells him to be close and adjusts his tie. When Brooke Lynn talks to him, he advises him to look each member in the eye. The committee arrives, and Brooke asks Lynn if she can stay. Chase says he wants to.
The committee said Chase’s career record was exemplary, but the issue was his temper. The committee said this is an open forum for the opposition and for him to return his work. Suddenly, Blaze appears speaking on Chase’s behalf. She identified herself as Chase’s former singing partner. Chase always makes her feel safe, protected and respected, she says. He defended her against her ex’s criminal convictions and did so in a professional manner. The committee commended Blaze for her testimony, but should question Chase’s commitment to the badge because of his new music career.
Brooke Lynn stops by to talk about Chase’s true calling and insists that no one knows where his heart lies more than she does. She explains that Chas wants to be a cop, and his only flaw is caring too much, which is how he got into this situation. However, a caring person is exactly the type of person they need as a legal authority.
The committee asks Chase if he has anything to add. Chase said he will always be grateful to be able to serve as investigator no matter what the board decides. He said he would do everything to regain their trust if they reinstated him.
The committee adjourns, and Chase thanks Blaise for what she said. Blaze must return to the studio to record a new demo, but wishes Chase luck. Blaise leaves, and Brooke Lynn asks how Chase is doing. He says he’ll be fine no matter what, and it’s because of her. She thanked her for what she said and took his hand. The board came back and told Chase they had made their decision.
