The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is accepting first-timers for its 2023 nominations list.

This year’s team of 14 includes:

  • Kate Bush
  • Sheryl Crow
  • Missy Elliott.
  • Iron Maiden
  • Joy room / new order
  • Cyndi Lauper
  • George Michael
  • Willie Nelson
  • Rage against the machine
  • Soundgarden
  • Spinners
  • A tribe called mission
  • The white stripes
  • Warren Zevon

Eight artists or groups are appearing on the list for the first time, including Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, The White Stripes and Warren Zevon.

Cyndi Lauper will perform at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

John Sykes, chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, said in a statement: “This impressive list of nominees reflects the diverse range of artists and music that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors and respects.” “These artists have followed in their own footsteps and created their own sounds that have touched generations and influenced countless others.”

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. According to the Hall of Fame, this year marks the first year of eligibility for Missy Elliott and the White Stripes.

Fans can cast their ballots at vovo.rockhall.com through April 28 or in person at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Graduates are recognized at the Fall Commencement Ceremony in May.
