Covetrace, a company that focuses on animal-health technology and services, has named Ajoy Karnan, MBA, as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). His responsibilities in his new role will include leading the finance, accounting and audit functions, as well as the IT and cyber security teams under the leadership of Shared Services and Centers of Excellence.

Prior to joining the Covetress Group, Karna worked for Cisco Corporation for ten years and held various senior financial and strategic leadership positions, including senior vice president of global finance and the company’s North American foodservice distribution businesses. He was also CEO of Cisco’s European operations. Prior to joining Cisco, Karna worked at PepsiCo for over 20 years in the global finance, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions groups.

Karna holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University.
