Astros FanFest: Baseball lovers will get autograph sessions, photo opportunities, with the World Series trophy, games and more

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Astros held their annual FanFest on Saturday as they celebrated their 2022 World Series championship and preseason for the upcoming 2023 season.

FanFest was the official kickoff to the 2023 season and had fun for the whole family, including autographs, games and more.

Big-time Astros stars like left fielder Jordan Alvarez, third baseman and shortstop Alex Bregman showed up and mingled with fans. Second baseman Jose Altuve was also revealed!

And it wouldn’t be FanFest without the World Series! Lucky fans were able to take pictures and bask in the glory of their favorite trophy.

A big announcement was made about the Astros Hall of Fame during all the festivities. Former Astros second baseman Bill Doran and former play-by-play broadcaster Bill Brown are the newest honorary members.

In the 80s, Doran was a fan favorite, while Brown was the dominant voice of the era for 30 years.

The official ceremony will be held on August 12, 2023.
