Hesson is thrilled to announce that Harrison Eidsgaard Studio has been selected to design the highly anticipated 50-meter Steel Series, unveiled last October at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

At 50 meters and 499 GT, this new series of fast displacement steel hulls features great seaworthiness for optimal comfort in all sea conditions. Like all Heesen boats, the new design features Heesen’s hybrid technology for superior power management and quiet sailing.

The layout emphasizes the relationship between the outside and the inside, providing plenty of natural light and fresh air from the sliding windows in the main living room on the main floor. The design features distinct staff routing for discreet and efficient service. Auctions and toys are conveniently stored on the main deck while guests enjoy the split deck overlooking the infinity pool and large permanent pool deck. Six staterooms accommodate twelve guests.

“As with all new startups, this is an exciting time,” said Rick van de Weering, COO at Hisson. “Such an exciting design is fun to engineer and poses some exciting challenges for our engineers and naval architects. But we’re excited to overcome the challenges in Hysen – our brilliant mind team led by Pieter van der Zanden delivers another exceptional superyacht.”

“The previous collaboration between Hyson and Harrison Eidsgaard resulted in the award-winning Irish in 2017,” Van de Weering said. This new 50 meter steel series is Harrison Eidsgaard’s interpretation of the Hassan DNA and our expertise in engineering and building successful series yachts.

Working closely with the engineering and production teams, Haasen’s Marketing Director Mark Van Heffen developed a detailed brief; This was based not only on the experience we got from the previous series but also on the in-depth analysis of the market. The result is a 50-meter series concept that blends Harrison Eidsgaard’s creativity with Hisson Industrial DNA, perfectly in line with the shipyard’s future business strategy.

“The design of the Hessen 50m steel exudes confidence,” comments Peder Edsgaard. “In keeping with the company’s DNA, it translates the fast and sporty look of aluminum yachts into dynamic and efficient shapes. The profile is not radical or extravagant, but refined and timeless. This is a boat that is meant to stand the test of time.”

“The keys to a successful layout in the 499GT yacht are simplicity and versatility,” Eidsgaard added. , like the atrium’s skylight doubles, will be focal points that invite guests to gather. It’s a very important part of a cruise ship, and we want to make sure that visiting day guests can also really enjoy themselves.

For the next six months, Hessen engineers and the Harrison Edsgaard team will work together on translating this design into a perfectly engineered superyacht. Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024.
