MLB Rumors: The proposed Rangers trade will stop Dylan, more than the White Sox

Texas Rangers He was able to land one of the biggest trade targets in the 2023 season in reliever Ardis Chapman. But making moves may not work as they hope to maintain their lead in the NL West and enter the playoffs at a high level starting in the second half of the year.

As Newberg noted, with the Rangers getting three pieces to help Texas compete for the World Series this year and with clubhouse control over Kelly, it would make sense to leave White — the organization’s top pick — beyond this season. Hope – in addition to other assets. Most importantly, these prospects will help fill an empty cabinet for the White Sox farm system.

Will it happen? Even if Chicago goes as expected and sells out at the deadline, it’s hard to see them moving Chase. At the same time, however, the franchise may be of better long-term use. Because of that, it’s an option the Rangers should explore and give the White Sox a call.
