There will be four races: 10 km; 20 km; 50 km and 100 km. There is no 100 mile race like other UTMB World Series events.

“Very special” Jeju

Jeju is a volcanic island, and runners will find themselves pushing Mount Halasa, a dormant shield volcano and the highest peak in South Korea. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

“One of the biggest draws of TransJeju at UTMB is that runners can reach the summit of Mount Hallasan, the highest mountain in South Korea,” said race director Byungsik Ahn.

“The runners in the 100km race climb the mountain at sunset, which is very special.

“Since Jeju is such a popular resort, we have great infrastructure and easy access, and we are confident that participants and their families will enjoy the great local seafood and tourist attractions in Jeju before and after the race.

We are truly excited and honored to be a part of the UTMB World Series. I hope many runners will come to enjoy TransJeju at UTMB on their way to the UTMB World Series Finals.

“We want every trail runner’s dreams to come true at TransJeju.”
