EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) – Freshman Coty McMahon scored 24 points, and No. 3 Ohio State beat Northwestern 81-48.
The Buckeyes led 35-24 at halftime.
They hit five of six shots in the final five minutes of the third quarter to push their lead to 20, including a pair of 3s from Taylor Michaels.
Taylor Thierry had 18 points for Ohio State, and Mikel finished with 16.
Jillian Brown led Northwestern with 13 points.
