Look for De’Aaron Fox (left) and Malik Monk when the Kings face the Warriors in Game 2 of their first-round series on Monday.

The 2023 NBA playoffs continue with two more games on Monday. The 76ers will host the Nets in Game 2 of the series, while the Kings will try to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Let’s explore the options on Yahoo and suggest some players to consider for your entries, as well as a few that we should probably avoid.

Guards

De’Aaron Fox, SAC vs. GSW ($34): Talk about an amazing playoff debut. Fox scored 38 points in 1 game, shooting 13-for-27 from the field and 8-for-12 from the charity stripe. He poured in four three-pointers while chipping in five assists and three steals. With stellar averages of 25 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists at home this season, and the Kings leaning on him when it matters most, Fox has an extremely high floor.

Malik Monk, SAC vs. GSW ($18): Monk also scored 32 points with three rebounds and two assists in Game 1. He made all 14 attempts and feasted on the free lane. With both of these teams playing fast and the home crowd behind them, Monk has the potential to get enough heat in the score column to make it worth it.

Guard to avoid

Jordan PooleGSW by SAC ($21): Poole scored 17 points in Game 1 but only earned a 24.7 Yahoo rating. He didn’t offer much outside of the goal column and logged just 22 minutes. With the Warriors the healthiest they’ve been in a long time, Poole should continue to see some minutes off the bench.

in the future

Andrew WigginsGSW by SAC ($21): With Wiggins missing a lot of time due to personal matters, the Warriors brought him off the bench Saturday. He hasn’t shown many signs of rust, earning a 34.1 Yahoo Score. It was the 28th minute that was most encouraging. It’s worth considering with him that he can play at least 30 minutes again even if he comes off the bench again.

Harrison Barnes, SAC vs. GSW ($18): Barnes is an important veteran for a young Kings team that doesn’t have much playoff experience. He averaged 33.4 Yahoo points in 36 minutes in Game 1. His limited role in the offense doesn’t make him the most exciting option, but with a shortage of top-tier forwards for this small board, Barnes should at least play as much as he deserves to be considered.

Transfer to remove

Royce O’NeillBKN in PHI ($16): O’Neill was quiet in Game 1, averaging 17.6 Yahoo points in 28 minutes. Going back to the regular season, he has averaged 21.5 points or less in five of his last seven games. He had a 13.6% usage rate during the regular season, so don’t expect his role to increase anytime soon.

Centers

Joel Embiid, PHI vs. BKN ($56): The 76ers won in each quarter and cruised to victory in Game 1. Embiid didn’t have to play a ton, but he still put up a great stat line, averaging 43.5 Yahoo points in 33 minutes. Embiid presents significant matchup problems for most teams, but especially for the Nets, who lack a lot of size at center behind Nick Claxton.

Draymond GreenGSW by SAC ($24): Green showed in Game 1 that he doesn’t need to score too many points to engage in DFS. Nine rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and one block earned him a 37.3 Yahoo rating. With both of these teams looking to push the pace, Green should continue to find plenty of opportunities to rack up stats outside of the scoring column.

middle to remove

Nick ClaxtonBKN in PHI ($27): Claxton avoided foul trouble 30 minutes into Game 1, but posted a modest 27.5 Yahoo! Putting up points on Embiid could be a problem for him, and there’s a chance he could get into foul trouble trying to slow down Embiid on the other end of the floor. There are too many question marks at this salary that we feel good about rolling with it.
