WWE legend Ted DiBiase, also known better as the Million Dollar Man, would say, “Everyone has a price.” That catchphrase could ring true for San Antonio Spurs fans trying to catch a glimpse of rookie Victor Wembanyama’s NBA debut.

An X, formerly known as Twitter, post shared the wild price of the Spurs home opener against the Dallas Mavericks on October 25 and Spurs Nation went off.

While a majority of Spurs fans were outraged by the price of the tickets, some were slow to cast a stone. A few reasons why the tickets are expensive is because it’s opening night, it’s the Spurs’ home opener, it’s against the Dallas Mavericks — who have NBA superstars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving — it’s a cross-state rivalry, and, the biggest reason of all, Wembanyama is making his NBA regular season debut.

Other game prices aren’t as steep, but how much would you pay to see the start of Tim Duncan or Michael Jordan’s careers? People could be paying a pretty penny to see the next Spurs great.
