After missing 11 games with a sprained left ankle, Charlotte point guard LaMelo Ball, who was upgraded to questionable for Wednesday’s game against Detroit, is “hopeful” to return to the lineup, a source told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ball will warm up before the game to determine if he is ready to play against the Pistons, the source said.

On October 10, 2018, after suffering his first injury in a preseason game. On November 16, he sprained his ankle a second time. The first injury caused him to miss more than a month of action, including the first 13 games of the regular season.

Ball is averaging 19.3 points and 7.0 assists in three games this season.
