Before the 2023 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins had one of the fastest skill position players in the NFL. The wide receiver duo of Tyreke Hill and Jaylen Waddle is a nightmare for opposing defenses. Now the Dolphins have added even more speed with starting running back Deven Achan.

Waddle and Hill both spoke highly of the former Texas A&M star and felt he would make an immediate impact on offense.

Achan is the fourth man on the Dolphins offense to run a 4.4 40-yard dash. Achan has gained over 190 pounds but is still not an all-down back. Fortunately, the Dolphins have another sub-4.4 running back on the roster, Raheem Mostert, to share the carries.

The Dolphins drafted Achan in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. With all the tools on Miami’s offense, Achan has a shot to end up being one of the most productive starting backs in this class.
