PHILADELPHIA – Eagles players questioned Dallas Cowboys cornerback Micah Parsons’ comments on Wednesday about how much Jalen Hurts had to do with Philadelphia’s success.

That push was made most aggressively by Hearts’ blindside defender, left-back Jordan Mailata.

“I’m worried about the Chicago Bears this week, buddy, worry about this game. Micahs should be worried about the game this week. I don’t know who’s playing, excuse the language. Just worry about who you got this week,” Mailata said.

“That’s how we do it here. I don’t care what other people say. That’s what we focus on and what we do with our business. We’ve got the Chicago Bears, not the Micah Parsons of Chicago.”

Parsons, who recently appeared on “The Voncast” with Von Miller, asked, “Does it hurt to watch the Eagles or the team?” “I think it’s a little bit of both, man,” Miller replied. Parsons said, “It’s a system and a team!”

“I’m not trying to make enemies,” Parsons said. “I love the game so much. And I understand so much … I can’t just hold back when things go down. I’m going to say something.”

Harts declined to get into Parsons’ comments, saying only, “We’re worried about the Bears right now.”

Jordan Mailata, on the opinion of Micah Parsons

Injury is one of the favorites for league MVP. He leads the league in quarterback rating (108.4) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (7.33) and is fourth in completion percentage at 68% — up from 61.3% in 2021.

The 24-year-old is tied with Josh Allen and Joe Burrow behind Patrick Mahomes (35) for the second-highest total touchdowns (32). On Sunday against the New York Giants, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for 10-plus touchdowns in consecutive seasons.

The 12-1 Eagles took a two-game lead over the 10-3 Cowboys and won their Week 6 matchup 23-17 – a game marred by an injury to Cooper Rush at quarterback in place of Dak Prescott.

The rematch is Dec. 24 in Dallas — a game that will have even more drama as Parsons comments. But now the Eagles are pushing him aside.

“I have no comment,” said receiver AJ Brown, a good friend of Harts. “When we see them, we worry about them.”
