It’s a much nicer gesture than flowers, which we often see when athletes enter their respective professional leagues. Flowers’ father now drives Ravens games in style.
For Flowers, it won’t be long before they refocus on the season ahead. Despite being a rookie, he figures to be a key weapon in a Ravens offense built around Lamar Jackson.
In addition to Flowers and OBJ, the Ravens still have Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews out. These four guys make for an impressive passing unit for Jackson, who looks to have a big season in 2023.
Jackson publicly stated how excited he was for this new offense, especially throwing Zay’s flowers. The Boston College product was electric during his college days, with speed and quickness that will surely translate to the next level.
Although flowers are quickly thrown into the fire to start the work, there is no guarantee that it will put up big numbers. The Ravens offense will throw the ball more this season, but they will undoubtedly run the ball more with Jackson and JK Dobbins in the backfield.
Still, expect Flowers to make some headlines on the field in his rookie season. It’s good to see him making headlines off the field before his first NFL campaign begins.
