Garmin has released beta version 13.18 for the Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches. For reference, beta version 13.18 is the third beta build released this week for the Fenix 7 series and its counterparts, while beta versions 13.16 and 13.17 each contain a few bug fixes. In comparison, beta version 13.18 features 15 changes, listed below:
- Static data fields do not draw correctly in a hierarchical layout.
- Fixed HRM sensor icon not showing in status bar for swimming activities.
- Fixed HRV status 4-week history chart with possible overlay bottom label.
- Fixed tag break in Wakesports activity for some languages.
- Fixed map banner showing only coordinates instead of selected POIs.
- Fixed incorrect rows in new activity settings page.
- Fixed Multisport icon being painted incorrectly on the new Activity Settings page.
- Fixed pool length selection is showing incorrectly during multisport activities.
- Fixed lockable when changing daily suggested workouts from calendar widget.
- Fixed blocking when selecting activity profile to follow navigation.
- Fixed shutdown that can be closed when switching from one app to another with a hotkey.
- Fixed possible inability to set custom power mode in motion.
- Fixed shutdown when skipping the last strength workout group.
- A certain topic was broken on the exercise loading page for some languages.
- Updated translations.
40% of eligible Garmin smartwatches should now receive beta version 13.18, a percentage that should increase over the next 24-48 hours. Garmin also released the latest beta of the Fenix 7 series as an over-the-air (OTA) update instead of the Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) service. So you can skip the queue by heading to Menu – System – Software Update on your Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatch and selecting ‘Check for updates’.
It’s worth emphasizing that beta version 13.18 is not a release candidate build, as its equivalents are to the predecessor 255 and predecessor 955 series. The amount of bug fixes included in beta version 13.18 suggests that Garmin is on top of the latest software development for the Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series.
