It looks like Garmin is gearing up to bring a refresh to the Fenix 7 series ‘Pro’. For reference, the Epix 2 series will soon receive the same treatment, which will also be available in three sizes. Garmin also launched the S70, a follow-up to last year’s S62 presentation.
according to Roland Quandt., Garmin has developed the Fenix 7, Fenix 7S and Fenix 7X Pro versions. As such, the Fenix 7 Pro models are available in three sizes, 42mm, 47mm and 51mm case sizes for the Fenix 7S Pro, Fenix 7 Pro and Fenix 7X Pro, respectively. Garmin also offers the Pro models in Solar or Sapphire Solar variants. As the latter name suggests, it features a sapphire glass display.
However, Sapphire Solar models have titanium cases, including titanium cases for Garmin Solar models. Apparently Garmin differentiates the new Pro models from their regular counterparts by including multi-band GPS connectivity. Based on the images below, all other features of the Core Fenix 7 series appear unchanged, such as five physical buttons, QuickFit straps and 10 ATM water resistance.
Quandt currently expects to launch the Fenix 7 Pro models in ‘late May’ or ‘early June’. Pricing hasn’t been released yet, though we expect the Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar to be the most expensive of the bunch.
