Garmin has released another beta update for the Fenix 7 series of smartwatches, as well as the Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 models. To recap, Garmin released beta version 13.16 earlier this week with a few changes aimed at fixing bugs in its previous beta build. It’s similar to beta version 13.17, though with various bug fixes.

For reference, Garmin has rolled out additional updates in this new beta build, reflecting beta version 13.16. But Garmin says it has fixed other notable bugs in the future, including one that caused the PulseOx to stop measuring. The full version of beta version 13.17 is as follows:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause PulseOx to stop measuring.
  • Fixed issue causing alert tags to not work.
  • Fixed issue that caused music playback to hang after more than an hour.
  • Fixed closure on automotive watch face (MARQ 2 only.)
  • Updated translations.

Garmin also says it has updated the Sensor Hub software from v24.18 to v24.22 for all models. Garmin is rolling out its latest beta update in batches, as it did for beta version 13.16. While beta version 13.17 should reach 60% of eligible devices now, it may take another day before the company rolls out the new beta update to all eligible models. Please see the Garmin forum for more details.
