Two weeks after rolling out beta 13.12 for the series, Garmin has published a new beta build for the V2 series. For some reason, the company opted to skip beta 13.13 and jump to beta 13.14 instead. According to Garmin’s changelog, beta version 13.14 contains the following changes.

  • Fixes a bug where the screen doesn’t light up for hydration notifications
  • ANT+ improvements
  • Added ability to review CIQ applications.
  • Various CIQ bugs and improvements

In the past, Garmin has hosted scheduled releases, with certain devices receiving new beta builds before others. However, beta version 13.14 is available without restrictions. Apparently, Garmin pushed this week’s beta through its GCM service, not as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Therefore, beta version 13.14 should be available automatically within the next 24 hours on models enrolled in the beta program.

Please note that beta version 13.14 is not a release candidate build. As such, Garmin may roll out a few more betas before moving on to offering a new stable update. Unfortunately, the company has not provided a timeline when it plans to introduce any new stable updates for the Venu 2, Venu 2S or Venu 2 Plus. Please see the Garmin forum for more details.
