Amazfit has launched the new Cheetah (Round) and Cheetah Pro smartwatches. The models are the first dedicated running wearables from the brand, which appeared in leaks earlier this year. MaxTrack, Amazfit’s proprietary dual-band circular GPS antenna, optimizes positioning with 99.5% accuracy. The technology can pick up almost all satellite signals and minimize multi-path interference, which can be caused by trees or tall buildings. The smartwatch supports six satellite systems with the ability to import runways.

The Cheetah Zip Trainer gives you AI-generated training plans for different race types, adjusting to your performance over time. An AI chatbot is also being tested and may be a subscription-based feature in the future. You can track health metrics like your heart rate and VO2 Max with PeakBeats Performance Insights. Track Run mode features intelligent visual adjustments to information such as time, distance and speed based on your lane for each lap. Additionally, you can share run data with third-party apps like Strava and Adidas Running. Other features include automatic discovery of eight sports, music storage and playback, Bluetooth calling and Amazon Alexa voice commands. Both models have a 440 mAh battery, which allows the devices to work for more than 14 days with normal use.

The wearables have a lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer frame and a 1,000 nit high-brightness AMOLED display. The standard model has a 1.39-inch (~35 mm) display with a resolution of 454×454 pixels and a silicone strap; The weight of the watch is 49 g. The Pro version has a larger 1.45-inch (~37 mm) display with a resolution of 480×480 pixels, and this time with a nylon strap, it brings the total weight down to 43 grams. Other upgrades for the Pro model include a premium titanium alloy bezel and a built-in speaker. You can now purchase the Amazfit Cheetah (Round) and Cheetah Pro models for US$229.99/£229.90/€229.90 and US$299.99/£299.90/€299.90 respectively.
