Budget 2023 memes are taking over the internet as Nirmala Sitharaman speaks.

While people waited with bated breath for the announcements, several sections of the internet were busy creating memes. #Budget2023 trended on Twitter as the microblogging platform was flooded with memes and reactions.
This Union Budget is the last full budget of the second term of the Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Like the last two years, this year’s Union Budget is also presented in a paperless format.
Social media users, meanwhile, are busy creating funny memes with scenes and jokes from Indian movies.

In her budget speech, Nirmala Sitharaman said the focus remains on expanding the scope of economic growth, boosting key sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing and job creation. He added that the Indian economy is on the right track and despite the challenges, it is heading towards a bright future.
“This is Amrit Kaal’s first budget, he hopes to build on the foundation laid by the previous budget and the blueprint for India 100,” Sitharaman said.
