CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Governor Roy Cooper is in Charlotte on Wednesday to address closing the digital divide after Inlivian won an FCC grant to help do just that.

“Your Home, Your Internet” is a pilot program designed to increase enrollment and awareness of the Affordable Communications Program among federal housing assistance recipients. The pilot program provides grants to local housing authorities to fund innovative efforts to connect housing indigent residents in their communities,” according to the FCC.

The grant will provide hundreds of thousands of dollars to increase Internet connectivity in Charlotte.
