Jake Gyllenhaal (Ambulance) is a soldier on a mission to pay off a debt in the first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s agreement or.

Gyllenhaal stars as John Kinley, a US Army sergeant whose team is ambushed by the Taliban. Kinley is seriously wounded and about to die, but his group’s Afghan translator, Ahmed (Curveball’s Dar Salim), intervenes and saves the sergeant’s life. After the ambush, Ahmed hides from the Taliban after he and his family were not granted safe passage to America as previously promised. Deep in debt to Ahmed, Kinley fights his way back to the war zone to save Ahmed and his family before the Taliban catch up.

In recent years, Gyllenhaal has turned his attention to action thrillers. The Academy Award nominee starred in Antoine Fuqua’s culprit AND Michael Bay’s Ambulance, and will helm Doug Liman’s upcoming shoot The Road House like Dalton. Gyllenhaal will also star on Apple TV+ presumed innocent, based on the 1990 legal thriller starring Harrison Ford.
