Airport officials and Mayor Quinton Lucas made the announcement at the new terminal at 4 p.m. “We are very pleased to announce that we have an airport terminal that will be operational on time,” Lucas said in Monday’s announcement. In the terminal, passengers are checked through one of 16 security checkpoints. Airport officials said it would be faster than the current check-in process.
