Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 It’s a rarity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While many heroes get a film trilogy in the saga, Except for Spider-Man, none of those trilogies felt like one complete story. Stories with endings. Stories where the filmmaker can – say – kill off a character or two if he wants to. In most cases, like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Ant-Man, we expect those characters to return after their respective episodes.

For some reason—probably because writer-director James Gunn left Marvel For the biggest competitor DC– with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3You just think that anything can happen. Everyone can die in one explosion and it’s okay because Gunn is from the MCU. So, with all of that in mind, did Marvel Studios, and especially its president, Kevin Feige, give Gunn full authority to do whatever he wanted? Or were certain characters, twists, etc. off limits? Basically, how many weaklings have Gunu been given to tell the story?

“I think he gets all tired,” Fige said once Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Press release earlier today. “As weak as he has to give, he gives it.” Gunn agreed. “Especially in this case, I’m all tired,” he said.

As a quick follow-up, Feige was asked about his worries about killing off characters in particular. “We’ve had some discussions about this in previous films, but not in this one,” he said. “This was really about seeing it because it was always designed as a trilogy captor.” “That’s right,” Gunn agreed.

So what does that mean? Will the guards make it unscathed? Will they return to the MCU? And if so, when? Having seen the movie, I’d say most of the answers to those questions are in there. They don’t expect you at all, but expect you to feel emotional. Find out for yourself when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Opens May 5.
