Grammy-winning rapper Young Thug and a racketeer co-defendant allegedly engaged in a hand-to-hand drug transaction in court, prosecutors said in an indictment filed in Atlanta.

Fulton County prosecutors said the alleged exchange was captured on courthouse surveillance video Wednesday.

Real names Jeffrey Lamar Williams and Kahleef Adams were charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and participating in criminal street gang activity, among other charges.

According to a request to clarify the record, Adams “got up from his seat (…) and walked unobserved to Young Thug and gave him Percocet.”

During the search of Adams, agents reportedly found Percocet, marijuana, tobacco and other contraband “wrapped in plastic and food seasoning to mask the smell of marijuana.”

Percocet is a brand name for a combination of the opioids oxycodone and acetaminophen, which is the generic name for drugs such as Tylenol.

Keith Adams, one of Young Thug’s attorneys, told CNN on Friday: “The state is deliberately misrepresenting and embellishing the events of Wednesday.”

The young robber said he did not ask for or accept the pills.

Mr. Adams said that the investigation cleared the young thug of any wrongdoing and the responsible party was charged. Prosecutors said the allegations were “pure fabrications and despicable.”
