Rob McElhenney digs deep in the next episode of the Always Sunny Podcast, hosted by former partners Charlie Day and Glenn Howarton. The actor recently revealed that he has “multiple neurodevelopmental disorders and learning disabilities.”

McElhenney, 46, details his full diagnosis and prognosis in an upcoming podcast episode, due in two weeks, but he has a message of comfort for others who have received a diagnosis later in life.

“It’s not something I usually talk about publicly, but I figured there were others out there struggling with the same things and wanted to remind you that you’re not alone. You’re not stupid.” You are not “bad”. It can feel that way sometimes. But it’s not true.”

McElhenney doesn’t open the Internet this way very often. More often than not, he’s posting the latest in sports, such as Wrexham Association Football Club, which he co-owns with Ryan Reynolds. Most recently, Renault-owned Formula 1 team Alpine invested with Reynolds and Michael B. Jordan.

Always Sunny Podcast will be on a short tour later this year with one show at the TD Pavilion in Philadelphia in September and two shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City in October.

The show typically looks at the past fifteen seasons of the popular series, but also discusses how the show and its cast have evolved and developed over the years. “And sometimes… they don’t do that at all. Sometimes they’ll have deep conversations about disagreements they’ve had in the car line, or have their blood on camera and compete to see who’s healthy,” reads a description on the podcast’s website. “And so what? They can do what they want, you’re not their mother.”
