Controlled substances such as Adderall will be allowed to be ordered online by the end of 2024, U.S. health and drug officials said, reversing their earlier position that restrictions on the drugs would be reinstated when the epidemic subsides.
Health care providers can order controlled substances online through November 11 on a pre-prescription basis. Law was posted online Tuesday. Additionally, practitioners who come into contact with patients on or before that date can continue to prescribe controlled substances for an additional year.
