YouTuber Colby Brock is celebrating being cancer-free after being diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year.

Colby Brock is a very popular influencer who is one half of the Sam & Colby YouTube channel with over 9 million subscribers.

Even though both Colby and his BFF, Sam, are known for psychics and exploring haunted houses, Colby’s fanbase was rocked earlier this year when he revealed that he had been diagnosed with vulvar cancer.

According to Colby, in November 2022 he felt “bruise-like pain” in the area, and finally saw a doctor about it in January 2023. “Finally, surgeons removed the damaged testicle in February, but it wasn’t Colby,” he said. Stating that there is a 35 percent chance of cancer returning completely outside the box.

Colby underwent chemotherapy on April 24, calling it “the craziest mental challenge of my life.” According to YouTube, this round of chemo was originally supposed to last 21 days — but he had to go through another round after the tumor markers shot up again.

Months later, Colby returned to social media with major news: He’s officially cancer-free.

The influencer celebrated this health update in both a YouTube video and an Instagram post on July 9.

Colby also revealed that he was able to keep his hair through chemotherapy thanks to a ‘cold cap’ which puts a frozen cold covering over a person’s head and needs to be changed every 25 minutes.

According to Colby, it was Sam who changed the cold cap every day, and he was taught how to do the experiment by trained professionals who came out to teach him.

“Sam was by my side every day, and every thirty minutes he had to loosen my jars and put on a new cold cap for hours a day,” Colby said. “Who has a friend who does this to them? I am very grateful. …I owe them all. That man is my best friend.”

Colby thanked his viewers and took to the GoFundMe he and Sam created to spread awareness and raise money for Fancer.

Colby Brock isn’t the only YouTuber to struggle with a recent cancer diagnosis. YouTuber and author Hank Green was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May and is undergoing treatment.
