The Atlanta Falcons will have the opportunity to grow their brand in Germany as the NFL officially expands its international marketing program, the league announced Tuesday.
The Falcons are one of 21 teams worldwide to reach 14 markets as the NFL tries to expand its popularity beyond the United States.

Atalanta is one of five teams receiving a marketing push in Germany. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots were also added as part of the NFL expansion.
The Falcons even gave a shout out to a member of the Atlanta Falcons’ German fan club, surprising offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom with the news on Tuesday. Watch the call below, as shared by the team’s Twitter account.
