This story contains spoilers for Apple TV+’s Ghosted.

Apple TV+ Ghosted has a lot going for it. Chris Evans’ long-awaited return to romantic comedies gets the spy attention he deserves in Immortal Ana de Armas, and the relationship the two actors have built together on their projects (Knife Out and Netflix’s The Gray Man) is complete. As a weak act – but lovable – show a couple tripping over each other. But it’s not just their chemistry that makes this charming little romantic-action-comedy stand out — it’s also boosted by MCU cameos.

Now, this is not news. Evans spilled the beans on Good Morning America several days ago. But the MCU is huge and full of roles big and small. Of course the former Captain America didn’t talk about any major reunions, did she?

Error! Ghosted isn’t just a couple of former teammates popping up for a scene or two, it’s a full-on Captain America reunion. With both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan swinging by – and the two finally having their characters high and dry, it looks like Steve Rogers is taking some undeserved swings after being sent back in time to date Peggy Carter in the Forties. Avengers: Endgame!

Is Ghosted an alternate universe story where Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes try to kill Steve Rogers? Who’s to say really? Mackie and Stan Evans play killers trying to hunt down Cole ‘Taxman’ Regan, but as is often the case with many romantic comedies, there’s a classic case of wrong place, wrong time. De Armas’ Sadie is the man they want, but Cole finds himself kidnapped and found with a bounty on his head.

Mackie and Stan are at odds with each other because of the aforementioned bounty. Whether you’ve seen Ghosted or not, you already know the comedic value there, as we’ve spent a lot of time watching these two shooters in Captain America: Civil War and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Each man tries to kill the other as he tries to get to Cole and the subsequent reward is on himself, but Mackey finally prevails after hitting Stan with a car.

What we really need here is a behind-the-scenes clip of Mackie talking like a maniac after the incident, because you know he’s absolutely got this over Stan’s head.

Their character names are also a good tease for Marvel fans. Stan finds Little “God the Bounty Hunter” and reveals that Mackie’s killer is not “Sam’s grandson”. Prepare those Leo point memories, everyone!

Stan and Mackie aren’t the only Marvel friends to make an appearance. It may not have. Officially He just joined the MCU, but Ryan Reynolds also popped in for a quick visit. You guessed it: he’s also a bounty hunter! But you will see him in the movie later. The team behind Ghosted seems to know exactly what they’re doing, making sure both Captain Americas and Bucky Barnes get their time together. (And that moment comes together almost as far back in the endgame as Steve Bucky left behind after returning from being dusted by Thanos!)

Ghosted is definitely more than just the cameras – it’s a silly, fun, sweet little flick, and you can tell everyone is having an absolute blast working together – but it’s definitely good to see these kids together again!

Ghosted premieres Friday, April 21 on Apple TV+.
