If you log into Twitter and search for “Agua Papi Namor“, you’ll see bill after bill after bill Black Panther. Wakanda Forever: star-antagonist Tenoch Huerta. For anyone looking for a translation, “Aqua Papi” means “Water Dad,” which, well, let io9 show you why this moniker is so apt.

The Mexican actor, whose full name is Tenoch Huerta Mejia, plays Namor, the ruler of Talocan, an underwater Mesoamerican inspired an empire that wants to hide itself (and its resources) from the world. In his breakout role, Huerta won the hearts of Marvel fans around the world thanks to his strong character as a leader, as well as the actor’s hilarious, charming red carpet moments and interviews. He gave the world funny parts about the little green “shorts of shame” he had to wear as a costume on set. He also confessed he had to learn to swim with floaties for role.

Unsurprisingly, the response has been an outpouring of love from people all over the world, but especially from fans who now call him “Agua Papi”, meaning Father of Water.

Being a pope isn’t just a title, it’s a vibration. Just as some actors like Rahul Kohli might argue status as “dad” with their fans, Huerta has acquired papi status with him.

Here are some other reasons why he is the Agua Papa of the Internet. Please!
