Anna Navarro opened up about her weight loss journey in an Instagram post on Sunday when a follower asked her to use the drug Ozempic.

The 51-year-old Vue personality posed in a shot of herself in a black dress as she headed to Ciudad Amuralada, Cartagena, Colombia, noting that she was there to celebrate her friend Lee Schrager’s birthday.

“When your best friend is @leeschrager and he tells you he wants a weekend off for his birthday, ‘Tell me where and when and I’ll be there,'” Navarro says on the social network. “He dropped everything and got three of his best friends to come to Cartagena to celebrate.’

In response, a commenter claimed that the political strategist had been using the drug to lose weight.

‘When are you going to come clean about being in the Olympics?’ the commenter asked. It helps others. It works. It’s the real deal. It gives the willpower needed to stop eating. It obviously corrects any insulin imbalance we should have.’

In the year Navarro, who ran on Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, said, ‘I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life,’ adding, ‘The epidemic and menopause have gotten worse.’

Navarro said her mother’s death in 2021 from diabetes-related kidney disease — which she said she “suffered a lot in the last years of her life” — inspired her to become active in her quest for better health.

‘Last August, I went to a wellness spa called @rancholapuerta with two friends from grade school,’ Navarro said. ‘We’re all 50 and want to be healthy. I spent time learning how to cook and eat healthy, reprogramming my lifestyle and being more active.

“We used to do all kinds of exercises for hours a day.’

Navarro said that when she and her friends returned to Miami, they were ‘determined to continue some of our healthy habits.’

Navarro says she ‘sought professional help’ in the form of a nutritionist, a Pilates instructor, a pickleball coach and medical supervision.

She said that during her weight loss journey, she lost four to five kilos a month.

In response to Navarro’s post, one commenter said the political strategist had been using the drug to lose weight.

According to the CNN personality, she is not ready to give advice to anyone or to support any solution, because we all need to know what is good for each of us.

‘It’s a daily struggle for me. I still love tequila and staying in bed with my poodle…’ with a shoulder emoji.
