In the words of SpongeBob SquarePants, it’s time to use your imagination.

A user on TikTok is sharing a theory about the character on Nickelodeon’s hit cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants” — and viewers are freaking out.

In the video, @asheleyspam stated that she believes that every character on the show represents a certain “problem”. The viral 16-second clip has already garnered over 2 million likes.

For example, she thinks that SpongeBob is meant to represent ADHD, while his friend and neighbor Squidward may have suffered from depression.

“It took me 10 years to realize that the SpongeBob characters represent a disorder,” she writes in white text at the top of the video, while the narrator repeats the words in a growling, sad voice.

The Tik Tok creator also revealed on the show that SpongeBob fan Patrick has Down syndrome and that Mr. Krabs, the owner of SpongeBob’s restaurant, suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. She also added that Plankton, who was everyone’s arch-nemesis, might have bipolar disorder.

The Post has reached out to representatives at Nickelodeon about psychic theories.
