Lauren Manzo admits to using diabetes medication to lose 30 pounds, but she feels entitled to do it — and not any of the “already thin” “Real Housewives” stars.
“I’m considered too fat,” the 35-year-old “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum told Page Six’s “Imaginary Real-Tea” podcast co-hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real during a live taping at City Winery in New York City Thursday night.
“I think people should not abuse it. [Ozempic]. “I think they’re being bullied because I’ve seen people post ‘Housewives,’ and you can literally see their ribs, and it’s sad because you’re already skinny,” he said.
Manzo once weighed 280 kilograms and said she turned to Mounjaro, a drug called tirzepatide, because it was taking a toll on her mental health.
She said she suffered from anxiety, depression and high blood pressure.
The former Bravo personality lost 50 pounds after going on a gluten- and dairy-free diet but “couldn’t lose any more,” says her pharmacist, Munjaro, for the next 30.
“I get it, people don’t like it, people don’t applaud it… but it’s a bullet in your stomach once a week. It’s the same as Ozympic,” she said.
“You’ve seen me struggle with this since I was 20, and it was really hard for me, and I lost a lot of weight because I was on that whole ‘Ozympic’ thing.
The former reality star, who is the daughter of “RHONJ” alum Caroline Manzo, opened up about her weight issues on the Bravo series and in the press at the time.

However, while some are waiting for this, others continue to use traditional methods such as exercise and a healthy diet.
