Mary M. Cosby will return to “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” in the role of “Friend,” multiple sources confirmed to Page 6 on Wednesday.
A source explained to us, Cosby, 50, is not taken full-time “housewife”, but instead will be “a few scenes of the movie” in the upcoming season – which is set to resume production on February 13.
“Mary wanted to come back,” the insider said.
However, a second source explained that while Cosby hopes to return to the franchise, she needs time to process the Jenny Nguyen racism scandal.
Nguyen, 44, was fired after one season in January 2022 for a series of offensive social media posts that mocked the Black Lives Matter movement and the 2020 protests.
“Mary was dealing with a lot of stress after Season 2,” the insider told Us of Cosby, who was notably skipped before Season 2’s exit from the show.
“Jenny’s racist comments seemed to rattle Mary, especially after Jenny threw a glass at the camera,” the source revealed. “Mary was grateful for the time away from the cameras, but she seems ready to get back into the mix.”
When Cosby leaves Salt Lake City in February 2022, a source told Page 6, “I didn’t enjoy her time on the show or develop any strong relationships with the women.
But a year later, things changed. Another insider teased that Cosby will return to the group as Meredith Mark’s friend, as the jewelry designer is currently the only cast member in communication with the preacher.
“They’ve rekindled their relationship over the past year,” the source revealed, adding, “They’ve been texting and talking for the past few months.”
Bravo did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Veteran stars Mark, Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose have all retained their snowflakes for Season 4.
Meanwhile, Jane Shah was sentenced to six-and-a-half years for masterminding a nationwide telemarketing scheme, primarily targeting vulnerable elderly people. The convicted fraudster is set to begin her sentence at a federal prison in Texas on February 17th.
The news of Cosby’s return comes after Page 6 revealed that the cast will suffer a major concussion after Season 3 of “Darkness.”
“They’re trying to bring in new women to lighten them up,” a source told Us on Jan. 20, adding that they’re still deciding on Season 3 of “Friends” — including Angie Harington, Angie Katsanevas and Dana Bui-Negret. – “If you get supported or get new talent.”
Marks exclusively told Page 6 that she agrees the “split” cast “needs people to help bridge the gap.”
Mark’s current season – which ends on Wednesday night – can indicate the transition from ten years of long friends Mark, 51, and Barlow, 46 and cousins-best friends Gay, 49 and Rose. 36, could not repair their explosive fall.
The season is intensified when Gaye wakes up with a black eye after a girl’s night out and repeatedly changes her story, leading fans to conjure up a number of controversial theories – she eventually blacked out and has no memory of how she got it. Heavy shiner.
The second and final “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 3 reunion airs Wednesday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
