IDAHO FALLS, Idaho – Stand-up comedian, television host, actor and musician Jimmy Fallon stopped by an Idaho Falls business earlier this week and bought a guitar.

Monday morning, after opening Mike’s Music for the day, Fallon stopped by a music store in Idaho Falls. He walked in wearing dark glasses and was accompanied by another man.

“Hey, I’m Jimmy Fallon,” he said. I was thinking to myself, Linda Doggett, owner of Mike’s Music, laughed to EastDayNews.com.

The next thing Dogt explained was hilarious.

“Fallon came up to me and reached out to shake my hand, and I shook his hand and then….I reached out to look into his eyes and took off his sunglasses. His sunglasses were really dark, and so can you. You can’t see his eyes!” She explained. “So I took off his sunglasses and looked into his eyes and said, ‘Yeah! It’s Jimmy Fallon.'”

She said Fallon started laughing and then gave her a big hug. He was then helped by one of the staff to look at the guitar.

Doggett said she went to talk to Fallon’s wife outside the store at 2455 N. Yellowstone Highway. Their two daughters were also there.

The “Tonight Show” host bought a Guild 12-string acoustic guitar and took a few pictures outside the commercial with Mike’s music logo in the background.

“He was just standing outside leaning against the building and playing guitar,” Doggett said with a laugh.

Doggett said she was a fan of Fallon and her husband, who passed away in 2020. Mike Doggett used to watch Fallon’s show every night, his widow said.

Doggett surrounds a portrait of her husband with a guitar in front of the store.

“We have all the musicians that come into the store sign a pic and then we put it on the outside of the painting,” she said. “So we got Jimmy to sign a selection and put it in a frame.”

She said it’s fun to have Fallon in the store for 30 to 45 minutes.

“He was wonderful. So nice and so kind, down to earth,” she said.

Fallon isn’t the only celebrity to stop on Mike’s music. Actor Harrison Ford rented a piano from the business in the 90s.

“We drove that to his house. He has a home in Jackson[Wyoming]and he was a really nice guy. He got in the back of the truck and helped Mike off,” Doggett recalled. “Same thing when we picked him up. (Ford) helped put him back in the truck. Just real down, great guy.”

While Fallon was in Idaho Falls, another celebrity posted on social media about his visit to eastern Idaho. Henry Winkler, Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzerelli in “The Good Days,” a 1970s sitcom; He tweeted that he was in Game State. on Sunday.

During the week, he posted photos of himself fishing with his fellow fishermen. In an interview on “7 Questions with Amy” last week, Winkler said he loves visiting Swan Valley and frequents restaurants in Idaho Falls.
